Stop spreading the News (christianity flaws #2)   Leave a comment

FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIAN FLAW #2
STOP SPREADING THE NEWS
We heard you the *FIRST* thousand times
and haven’t you done enough damage as it is?

another in the series of fundamental flaws I have identified with christians following their christianity ….

*Jesus* did not *insist* that you follow his way – and he certainly did not teach that “practising” christians annoyingly insist that the “good” news be spread!

remember that parable where the rich dude had to give up his money in order to get into heaven? (the one where he says it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter heaven, thankfully i don’t know what that verse is by heart)

Did Jesus insist that the rich dude do that?

No, he did not, that rich dude had to come to that all by himself. Jesus *let*him*be* when he saw that the rich guy didn’t like the sound of what Jesus was proposing.

If Jesus had of insisted right then and there that the rich guy follow his way, he most likely would have put him off following “the way” (“The Way” is apparently what Jesus’ teachings were called before they were hi-jacked by “christianity”, so I’ve heard/read)

Jesus was probably cluey enough to know that there was no point in insisting to the rich dude to follow his teachings, as Jesus probably knew that people would *only* live by his teachings if they came to that decision by themselves, because if they didn’t come to it by themselves, then there would have been no point because only *you* can only change *your* beliefs

However, if someone *can* change your beliefs, it’s because you are a *sheep* and you are following because you want to fit in and get this eternal life or whatever bullshit it is and you do that without coming to an understanding the teachings by yourself. ie. you are only telling yourself that you believe, you’re not actually believing

In other words….

you can not wander up to me in the street say a few words and have me believe

you can not force people to believe

you can not legislate that people believe

you can not threaten people with violence to make them believe.

you can not beat the shit out of people to make them believe

you can not even kill someone’s family to make them believe

you can not send me a message on some social network and tell me that I need to believe, thereby making me believe

in short: you can not go around telling people about your fantasy stories (thus relieving yourself of any responsibility of actually *following* what you have allegedly been taught) and have them believe!!!

In fact, the more violence, insults, insistence and the more annoyance you perpetuate while trying to spread the “good news”, the more likely you are to destroy any inkling of a chance that this person will have a gander at this “christianity” thing you keep blabbering about to see what it entails.

that means you, Mr and Mrs and Ms christian annoyists!! You are *putting* people off your religion!!

And the fact of the matter is that pretty much everyone in a “western” society has heard of Jesus, so there should be no need to spread the word at all, so if you really *do* want to spread the “good news”, then your first stop should be Mecca.

Muslims need the teachings of Jesus way more than any non-believer that I can remember does.

So stop spreading the word to us “Westerners” and get on your bike and get your butt to Saudi Arabia, and let’s see how they like the “good news” … go on… git goin’ …

I’m serious .. and I’m talking about the positive messages in the bible, none of the hatred filled stuff … if you filter out the “do nots” and only follow the “do”s, you’ll do much better.

but are people that dumb that they need to “spread the news” when it takes just as long for them to say “praaaaayyzzzz Jaaaayyyyyzuuuuusss” or try to preach at me in some way, as it does for them to calmly and actually say or actually “do unto others” ??

what’s that about?

I *really* want to know how, in what must be millions of people, perhaps even hundreds of millions, *how* does that happen, is a materials thing? ie. have we become so accustomed to the whole process of getting something; using it up; chucking it away; getting a new one; that this is how we “westerners” treat people and our beliefs themselves?

It’s for this exact reason that I can’t call myself christian, because other people call themselves “christian” but then not follow it in the fucking least, and *then* they get offended at you for your calling them out on their idiocy.

I see the very good reason for separation of church and state in *many* people online – that’s scary – they don’t know what they are asking for!! All these people who pine for the ten commandments as the “law of the land” are extremely fucked in the head. The should try living in Iran where you have to follow the morals laid down by some holy scripture…. let’s see how much they don’t like a theocracy after actually living in one.

It is soooo pointless arguing with mental nut-case religious fanatic christians (or muslims or blah blah blah), if you can’t talk to them calmly then just forget about talking to them, I say it’s a waste of time – and you’re more likely to solidify their beliefs then to win them over…

It’s almost as if some crazy christian people just can’t be bothered to *not* be part of the christinsanity crowd as it would be too inconvenient to not be christian, so much so that some nutters need to make sure other people think the “same”.

eg. for some people, the dream is to grow up, find someone you like, get married, and live happily ever after.. but if we expand on that, some people assume that they have to have a christian wedding, so to cater for this (usually) rare event in their lifetime, they call themselves christian just to have the convenience of living the dream as it applies to them for that one event, then they go back to not giving a flying fuck about being christian at all.

I bet most people only think of being religious, when there’s a new addition to the family (baptism), getting married in a church, and then when somebody dies and they have to go to church. The only other time people are “christian” is when they fill out their census forms.

And yes I do appreciate that christians are few and far between that actually insist on talking about their beliefs in the context of trying to preach to me…

It’s a shame people in general are so brutally quick to find offence when they are on the internet — because given how badly these apparent christians attempt to “spread the news”, uhmmm… well, it’s pretty fucking funny or offensive given the context of the insult to humanity….

If you are a christian, and maybe I should have put this at the start of the blog, then you are *supposed* to spread the news by showing everybody the good deeds you do in your everyday life, and you are to do that without making a big deal out of it

Because, you see, when everybody treats everybody like that, then that’s when we’ll have world peace…. has anyone actually thought about what “world peace” would be like?

perhaps they have and it’s just too much effort to be nice to other people, or maybe it would be no fun if people were nice to everyone?

Frank Sinatra sang about spreading the news too, it was a much catchier tune as opposed to being told that I *had* to do something, just because some busy body wandered up to me or saw my heathen arse on the Internet and decided that I needed to be told about Jesus…

dealing with religious fanatics? DON’T .. (religiorant)   Leave a comment

RELIGIORANT
dealing with religious fanatics?

… DON’T …

Don’t deal with them, just say your piece and move on.

If you are a non-believer, then there is a 90% chance that you are smarter than the religious person you are arguing with, so why are you even debating with parrots in the first place?

be sure to not turn into a parrot whilst trying to share with your views with the world..

The religious spout their mouths off to reaffirm their beliefs and they don’t care if those beliefs are stupid so repetition in stating your case trying convince them, is not useful.

Consider the parrot that repeats phrases, the parrot gets attention, it feels loved, it didn’t need to do anything but repeat the phrases, it doesn’t even know *what* it was saying, all it knows is that it gets attention and it feels loved when it says the pretty phrases, there is no need for the parrot to understand what it’s saying as it gets love and attention without understanding any of it *at*all*.

So of course, telling the parrot that it’s speaking dribble is pointless, as it doesn’t fucking know exactly what it is saying in the first place.

Think about it – if someone can happily believe that Noah and his ark saved two of every creature on earth in a massive flood, the sheer volume of flaws in that story is incredible, so given that, not much you are going to say is going to get through.

Eg. The Ark story is a pretty story that makes the believer feel warm and fuzzy, it doesn’t matter if the story is factually a steaming pile of poo.

So, the fanatic won’t care if they are stupid or what they say is stupid, and if you tell them they are stupid, the most likely reaction to that is to CLUTCH onto their beliefs even more rigidly.

This will not help you get your message across at all!!

So make your point, and move on!

And in all honesty, you should never expect them to come around to your way of thinking once you have told them they are fucking stupid, and frankly, you’ve probably put them off talking to the next non-believer who comes along who may just be able to hit that point of logic that will make their religious bindings start to unravel.

Therefore, in all practicality, there is little point to carrying on back and forth trading insults, you are wasting your time and energy trying to erase what could be decades of brainwashing and you easily damage somebody else’s chance of de-converting them by persisting with trying to put your point across.

If you think you can change that religious brainwashing in the space of a day, you better think again as it is *you* that is the arrogant person, not the person with the stupid beliefs, they are just the silly parrots, repeating phrases over and over without thinking for themselves, their own arrogance is nullified by their own stupid beliefs.

You on the other hand, are cleverer than that, aren’t you?

The more you argue, the more you demonstrate that you can’t put your point across effectively, if you can’t put your point across effectively, then cut your losses, and move on to the next parrot.

It’s one thing to be stupid, but it’s even stupider to think that you can convince the stupid to stop being stupid.

Just randomly insulting someone for their beliefs is a fast track to them rejecting your opinion outright and it’s also a fast track to stopping other people from freeing these idiots from their idiocy.

Say your piece, and move on, this will give them time to consider what you have said, they won’t consider anything if you don’t respect them at least that much.

how does an internet "filter" stop child porn from actually happening?   Leave a comment

we should be ashamed of internet filters and their attempts to block child pornography, but not because blocking the content is a technically stupid and infeasible idea; but because of one simple fact….

if you *know* a web address (such that you can put that IP or domain or full URL into an internet filter system) then you can make somebody or some company or even some country accountable for that web address..

if governments are serious about stopping child pornography from happening in the first place, why not stop it at the source? blocking the sites from the end user point of view is akin to sticking your head in the sand; just because somebody is blocked from downloading child porn, it doesn’t stop the children from being abused.

oh and the government has a list of websites with inappropriate content? is that a wise idea? i *hope* that that list does *not* go *viral*….

but ignoring for the moment the very real possibility that this list could end up being a child porn collectors’ dream and could end up triggering a world wide epidemic of kiddy porn traffic (imagine if a list of a million child porn sites was leaked? wasn’t the test list leaked already?), but besides that, what are we doing blocking those web sites?

if you know the addresses, you should be going after the companies that own the IP addresses and getting them to prosecute or disclose the names of the people that are publishing the material so that they can be prosecuted!!

if the company who owns a particular IP address or domain name space won’t reveal the owner of the web site when it can be clearly demonstrated that their IP addresses are hosting inappropriate content, then court orders can fix that, can they not?

if international boundaries are a problem, then involve the government of the hosting country, if said government won’t co-operate or their laws don’t adequately cater for prosecuting inappropriate internet content and/or exploitation of children etc, then cut diplomatic ties with that country or block every web site hosted in that country or with that company, or drop the routes completely.

what? that’s too much? ahem??? I’m sorry! I thought we were fucking *serious* about stopping child pornography, or is that just a lie to put internet filters into place?

Seems to me to be absolutely fucking stupid to be blocking the web sites themselves when the authorities should be going after the people that run the web sites.

as it stands, even if proposed internet filters *did* work and it *did* block 100% of every bit of child porn on the net in some magical way, it still doesn’t mean children have been made safe – those children will still be exploited, regardless of whether their is an audience or not.

international relations on this matter need to improve if it is quicker to add bad sites to a filter list than it is to get those sites shut down once and for all.

Why go to that much effort to prevent child pornography from being *seen* (when those mechanisms can be easily bypassed anyway) when those resources could go to stopping the people *creating* and hosting it in the first place?

oh, and if the people actually doing it are caught, you might actually discover the other thousands of web sites they operate or visit that you did not have on your filter, and you might find all the other mechanisms other than via the web that they used to spread their “material” .. ie. blocking individual sites is like the mythical Hydra, you cut one off head and another grows back.

oh and you might just get a list of *other* people they are sharing “material” with if you catch the perpetrators … ??

And the bottom line is that the people making the “porn” are the people doing the abusing, they don’t need to market their “material” to anybody…

so again, how does a “filter” stop child exploitation from actually happening?

it doesn’t but it is a very convenient way for politicians to pretend that they have done something by stopping others from seeing it.

well done, fucktards…

adherence to the TEN commandments (christianity flaws #1)   Leave a comment

FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIAN FLAW #1
ADHERENCE TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

another in the series of fundamental flaws I have identified with christians following their christianity ….

while the ten commandments may just be part of the whole christian thing, perhaps even the entire basis of it’s moral lessons, however, the TEN commandments are NOT the point of christianity, not at all, yet some christians choose to put the ten commandments out in front of them as if they are the *most* significant part of christianity…

the basis of what christ taught, apparently, was that golden rule thing, “Do unto others”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Golden_Rule

but what do I often see? ten commandments this, ten commandments that, put the ten commandments up in the school, inside the courtroom, out the front of the court, recite them to yourself before school, recite them out loud, learn them off by heart, blah ra ra ra b lah blah ..

but Jesus did not teach the ten commandments, he taught two.

If you hold the ten commandments in higher esteem than the TWO COMMANDMENTS that Jesus taught, then you are not following christianity.

Please don’t tell me you don’t know what those two commandments are!

If you don’t realise that much about your religion, then you have totally and utterly missed the point of christianity, in short, you have your religion wrong, *very* wrong.. 😦

the *message* Jesus taught is the point of the christianity – when it comes to christianity *NOTHING* said by anybody else in the bible is to be taken as some higher authority than what Jesus actually taught.

And Jesus taught, according to the gospels and “Saint” Paul, Jesus taught that we are to love everyone (love thy neighbour; do unto others), and that there is no commandment higher than that…

*nothing* outranks “DO UNTO OTHERS” in christianity, *not* your TEN commandments, NOT your LEVITICUS abomination diatribe, NOT your precious “Saint” Paul, NOT your random bible quotes you decide to throw at non-believers like it means something…

NOTHING outranks Jesus and his teachings, not even *god* as christians are supposed to speak to god via Jesus!!

and the simple reason for all of this, which obviously some christians are so fucking stupid they still don’t get it, is that…

Jesus loves everybody..

it’s certainly not rocket science, but it *does* show the true nature of the christian beast in this widespread ignorance of the simplicity in Jesus’ message..

what! what do you mean?

i’m thinking that those “christians” with their *ten* commandments held so proudly high, don’t like the niceness of all this “love thy neighbour” stuff, it’s too “trusty”, too “soppy”, too “touchy feely” ra ra ra, it’s TOO GAY, it’s TOO UNMANLY, it’s NOT BUTCH enough, it’s TOO “I DON’T GET TO SHOOT SOMETHING”, all in all, it’s TOO frikking nice for the selfish christian …

so if you hold the ten commandments, or anything else in the bible for that matter, above the two commandments that Jesus taught then .. ahem … …

this flaw with christian thinking leads to IDOLATRY because you’ve made up your own version of Jesus/god to follow, not the Jesus dude in the bible, in short, you ainst following Jesus Christ if you think the TEN COMMANDMENTS are the most important thing to christianity.

Do Unto others (christianity flaws #0)   Leave a comment

FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIAN FLAW #0
DO UNTO OTHERS

This will be a series of fundamental flaws in christianity, this first one, however, it’s so fundamental in it’s flaw, that I’ll number it with the number “0” (ZERO) so as to make it first in this list of a dozen or so flaws I had identified with christians following their christianity ….

at a guess, it would seem that most christians have their religion correct, at the very least, they have it mostly correct enough to not bring attention to themselves when they don’t follow it!

but the most of them, are not as loud as the least of them, not by a long shot.

Any true christian would not have a problem with anything I could say about their story, if they did have a problem then they lack the very faith that they are bragging they have!

And the easiest way to put a rabid blabberingly braggingly annoying christian in their place?

Remind them of Jesus’ *highest* commandment!

That commandment being “Do unto others” (Bible quotes below)

now i don’t count the love thy god 1st commandment, as being a commandment, as there is no practical benefit to it for the non-believer, and from what i understand, you “love god” by following the “Do unto others” commandment anyway… Two birds, one stone, you *only* need to follow the 2nd of Jesus’ commandments to be a good christian, as you follow the 1st commandment by following the 2nd.

But the “do unto others” teaching, isn’t an exclusively Jesus thing, it’s in the old testament of the bible, in Leviticus of all places.

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD.

In fact, forget the bible and any other religion that has touted the golden rule of “do unto others” because this very simple concept is probably the very basis of human civilisation!!!

We were able to evolve a sense of being able to trust someone as humans made their way forward to this point in history that we are at now because we shared stuff, we co-operated, we helped each other where we could, we taught each-other concepts far beyond simple everyday tasks.

This trust evolved not from things we *said* – but from things we *did* – we showed that we could trust other people, and in return, they were able to trust us, we did unto others as we would have them do unto us!

Civilisation could not have developed if we were not able to trust each other.

For all the wars and other carry-on throughout the millennia, we were able to make it through all of that because some of us banded together and we co-operated!!

So, in terms of christianity, if you see someone purporting to be a “christian”, ask them, is their behaviour indicative of something that Jesus taught?

is their behaviour in the spirit of their very own Lord and Saviour’s HIGHEST commandment, that being, that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us?

is the behaviour they show toward you, the same behaviour that they *want* you to show toward them?

ask them the above questions… ask them if this is how Jesus wanted them to behave…

And when they retort back at you with ten commandments this, Leviticus abomination that, or some “Saint” Paul thing or they start quoting revelations, you can say to them, “Excuse me, but no, you are wrong… Jesus’ HIGHEST commandment was “do unto others”, NOTHING out ranks it.. NOTHING at all, if you can’t follow that commandment, then you are simply NOT a christian…”

Matthew 22:36-40 (36) Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law? (37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Mark 12:29-31 (29) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: (30) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. (31) And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

so *Each* of the gospels have this, so does James

James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

and so does “Saint” Paul

Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

John even insists on going on about it a bit more too

1 John 2:7-11 (7) Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. (8) Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. (9) He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. (10) He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. (11) But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 John 3:23-24 (23) And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. (24) And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 4:20-21 (20) If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? (21) And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

2 John 1:5-6 (5) And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. (6) And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Revelations 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

ie. the most important thing that Jesus taught was “do unto others”, which wasn’t original, but it seems that way too many “christians” don’t seem to acknowledge this with all the rubbish they have on their online pages and profiles…. like below, the first christian on twitter, the VERY first i could find when i had the idea to see how much flash and how little substance would be displayed by a christian…

i believe the problem with some christians is that “do unto others” is too boring for some, or perhaps it’s too “gay” for them? unmanly? too nice even?

I’m guessing that merely praising Jesus is a rush.

a life *affirmation* that you can say to feel better instantly!

Because, actually doing something doesn’t give the believer an instant “fix” or “high” or “rush”, because “do unto others” actually requires that you actually do something, and the timing of that something, is going to happen at an indeterminate time in the future so you don’t know when you’ll get your fix with being good…

and that’s a timing the junkie just can’t handle

the christjunky needs his fix *NOW*, NOW NOW NOW, hence all the superfluous praise sustains the HIGH, which ends up being the only thing they do, thus the whole useful point of christanity in it’s central and highest theme of “do unto others”, falls to the way side …

Check out the idolatry, assumptions, judge-mentality, festering hate, impracticality and most importantly, the SELFISHNESS of this particular “christian”….

I love christians, nothing makes me happier than when am at church and God is moving. i love non christians too-i was one.

do you think you love homosexuals more than i? why wont you warn them that they are in danger then?

He is the Prince of peace, NOT THE UN.

Jesus came to save us, while we were stil sinners, he is the Way, the Truth and the Life, he is the Ladder that Jacob saw, he is the Prince.

He who spoke the world into being, He made the angels, he made the earth and every creature in them.

He who sits upon the circle of the Earth, the Almighty God, who hangs the earth upon nothing, He who stretches the Universe on one hand.

Jesus is the son of David, the Lord of David, the Groom.

Jesus is the Lamb of God, the Word of God, and the Word was God, the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, the Lion of Judah.

I cant explain who he is, He is my Lord and my Saviour, my Messiah, my King, my High Priest, my Defender, my Protector, my Creator.

The word of God, the Alpha and the Omega, he who walks among the golden lamp stands, the First and the Last

the deciples asked Jesus, ‘show us the Father(God)’. His answer was ‘I have been with you all this time..’

Jesus is the Lord of Glory, the King of kings, the Mighty God, the Great I AM, The Lord of lords, the Lord of hosts.

Jesus called himself the Son of man, the Son of God. The prophets called him the Messiah.

I think us humans cant define who is man and who aint, why would we doubt the one who made human beings. He can define us.

Jesus said, “before Abraham I am”, he created Abraham, he created Moses, he created Adam, he created you and me for his pleasure.

Everything was made by him and for him. Jesus the Creator

Can you say IDOLATRY?

it’s one thing to follow some religious figure, but this one person in the space of a few hours twittered all of these comments, but not once has he actually said what Jesus’ message was about… not once did he actually show compassion and understanding, in fact, showed the opposite with his attitude towards gays with his “why won’t you warn them” speak, which I can only assume to mean as “why don’t you warn them that they are going to hell” ??

especially when this same fellow went on to say the next day…

(Homosexuals/lesbians) are filled with murder. FILLED: Its inside them waiting 2 happen. school/college shootings. THEY HAVE NO CONSCIENCE

see what idolatry does? it makes you holier than thou… sadly, the idolater does not realise they commit idolatry.

to this person i would say that the name “Jesus” means nothing, if all you do is praise his name, it means *nothing* to just say this praise, this isn’t spreading *the* word, you’re spreading a bunch of *words*… petty and pretty phrases to make people feel warm and fuzzy is all that you have got

Is it because you are afraid of the enormity of the universe and how insignificant you would be if you didn’t have a special connection with the creator of the universe?

All the while claiming moral superiority over people who don’t believe the same thing you believe in, and that non-believers will suffer in hell for all eternity for simply not believing?

Can you say SELFISHNESS?

You don’t know shit about the after life, nobody does, but you assume you do with this “god” answer, but by thinking this, you’ve completely bypassed the teachings of this Jesus you supposedly have learnt your morals from, and just because you say “Praise Jesus” you are bathed in the glory that is Christ, all the while you have not once displayed the true compassion for someone that your Christ allegedly displayed!!

and ya know, being selfish isn’t a characteristic of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you, in fact, it’s quite the opposite to put yourself and your assumptions that *you* just happen to be worshipping the *correct* god before the opinion of everyone else.

How do you know your god is god? How do you know your Jesus is Jesus? you do not, so the safest thing to do, if you *must* believe, is to actually follow the teachings and not brag that you are the one who is going to heaven, while everyone else is bound for hell…

A truly compassionate person would respect every person’s beliefs, and being a curious human being and all that most of us supposedly are, we would ask them all about their religion, and you know, if they felt like talking about something else, that should be cool with you too, but the fact is, you’ll probably learn something if you actually ask questions and not be offended if those same questions are asked of your religion, or lack thereof

All in all, “do unto others” is pretty fucking simple, seems a shame to let it get lost in a book that many people say they are following, but clearly they are not…

i sometimes wonder if too many people saw that Ten Commandments movie and that’s all they thought was needed to know about christianity….
